Privacy Policy
YumYum is a food community app operated by Salem Benjahlan. For privacy questions, access requests or deletion assistance, contact doktosam@gmail.com.
Information used by the app
- Account and profile: your account identifier, email, verification status and profile information you provide, including your name and city. We also store your adult-age/terms declaration, the policy version and the acceptance timestamp. The declaration does not collect a birth date or identity document.
- Content: submitted food posts, descriptions, ingredients/allergens, prices and availability where applicable, selected photos or videos, comments, reactions, follows, private messages and Food Stories. Review evidence you submit is used for moderation.
- Pickup records: requests, quantities, selections, notes, status, pickup arrangements and confirmation codes associated with an order.
- Safety and support: reports, moderation decisions and information you send when requesting help.
- Technical information: service providers may process IP addresses, request timestamps, security events and operational logs to deliver and protect the service.
Google sign-in
When Google sign-in is available and you choose it, Google and Supabase authenticate your account. Basic Google account information, such as your identifier, email, verification status and available profile name or picture, may be received and stored by the authentication service. This is used to sign you in and associate you with your YumYum account. YumYum does not receive your Google password or request access to Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts or calendars.
Google account information is used for authentication, account management and service security, not advertising or sale. You can revoke YumYum’s Google access in your Google Account’s third-party connections settings. Revoking access does not itself delete your YumYum records; use the deletion steps below.
Why information is processed
To create and protect accounts, display food content, manage pickup requests, apply your visibility choices, review posts and reports, prevent abuse and respond to support requests. The current Android app does not process card payments or request device GPS or contacts permissions. Camera and microphone permissions support taking photos and recording videos with sound when you choose those features. A city or pickup location you type is information you choose to provide.
Who can see information
Approved member posts are visible to signed-in members. When an author explicitly enables public browsing, the approved post’s public content, author display information and media can also be seen by people without an account. Do not include private information in a public post. Viewers may save or share content; copies outside YumYum cannot be recalled.
Pickup records are limited to the relevant participants through app access controls. Authorized operators and reviewers may access information needed to run, secure and moderate the service, including submitted review evidence. Your login email, private pickup codes and review evidence are not part of the guest feed.
Supabase provides account authentication, database, media storage and backend processing. Google handles Google sign-in. This website uses ChatGPT Sites hosting. These providers may process data on infrastructure outside your country under their own applicable terms and privacy practices. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to investigate abuse or protect users.
Storage and retention
Cloud account and submitted app records are stored using Supabase. Drafts, practice content and some cached media are stored on your device; choosing to submit content sends the relevant content to the service. The app protects saved authentication sessions using Android Keystore-backed encryption. Access controls and encrypted network connections reduce risk, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Account and app records are retained while needed to provide the service, until you delete them or request account deletion, subject to operational and legal requirements. Provider backups and security logs can remain until their normal expiry. A single fixed retention period is not represented for all provider logs or backups.
Your controls and deletion
The app includes profile editing, data export, account pausing and account deletion. See Delete your YumYum account for the exact steps and what is removed. For access, correction or deletion help, email the support address above; identity verification may be required. Do not send passwords or verification codes.
Children and shared devices
Participation is for adults aged 18 or older. Under-18 users must not register to participate. Adult status is self-declared rather than independently age-verified. Do not upload a child’s face or anyone’s private details without appropriate permission. A parent or guardian can contact support about a child’s information. Sign out on shared devices and protect exported files.
This website
These information pages contain no app login, order form, advertising scripts or analytics added by YumYum. The hosting provider may process technical request information and use infrastructure needed to serve and secure the website. Clicking an email link opens your email app; anything you send is processed by the email providers involved.
Changes
Changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes to app data practices should be reviewed before continued use.
